Course 1 - Building Buttercream Skills

Build buttercream skills you can use for all decorating projects from cupcakes to cakes for any occasion. Whether you’re new to decorating or have been decorating for yours, when you complete course 1, you’ll be proud of the new techniques you’ve learned and ready to showcase them on your next project. 

Your Certified Wilton Method Instructor will help you each step of the way as you learn how easy it can be to:

1. •Ice & decorate a cake and other sweet treats
   

2. •Pipe lines & make simple border, letters and shapes on your cake
   

3. •Make six different buttercream icing flowers
   

4. •Transfer images to a cake to decorate
   

5. •Make icing the right consistency to decorate
   

6. •Fill and use a decorating bag

Course 2 - Flowers & Cake Design

Must have successfully completed course 1

Flowers & Cake Design

Work with royal icing, the ideal medium to use when creating flowers and decorations in advance. You’ll learn core techniques to make a wide variety of flowers, such as pansies, lilies and The Wilton Rose. You’ll also learn now to design a professional-looking cake, from selecting the colors to arranging your floors. 

Your Certified Wilton Method Instructor will help you each step of the way as you learn to:

1. •Design the color palette and pattern for a cake
   

2. •Complete buttercream icing piping techniques
   

3. •Create seven different types of flowers, and understand how to feature them on your next project
   

4. •Learn to pipe royal icing appliqués
   

5. •Pipe additional decorative borders onto your cake

Course 3 - Fondant & Gum Paste

Must have successfully completed course 1 & 2

Learn how to work with fondant and gum paste. From covering your cakes to cutting shapes and painting on fondant, you’ll learn all the essentials, and get to create flowers, like calla lilies, roses and carnations!

Your Certified Wilton Method Instructor will help you each step of the way as you learn to:

1. •Prepare and color gum paste and fondant
   

2. •Cover a cake with fondant
   

3. •Create different types of bows and flowers, including the calla lily, rose and carnation
   

4. •Discover how easy it is to paint on fondant
   

5. •Design and complete a cake with the shapes and flowers from the course

Floral Cupcakes - All materials included, just bring a box to bring your cupcakes home in. This introductory class teaches you some basic techniques to decorate these yummy treats. 

No prior experience required  Age 13+

Learn the basics of making and shaping cake pops. Learn how to decorate them using sugars & faces. All materials included, just bring a box to bring your treats home in No prior experience required

Clown Cupcakes - In this 2 hour class we will learn how to create a clown on top of cupcakes. Perfect for children's birthday parties or bake sales. You will each make 3 cupcakes. All supplies included.  3-6 Students per Class

Buttercream Rose Review - This class is a review on buttercream roses for past students that want to refresh their memory on making these beauties. What better way to practice than with a group of friends. You must have already take the Wilton course. 

This will be a 2 hour review class, supply list will be given at registration.  3-6 Students per Class

Hamburger Mini Cakes - In this class you will learn to make iced mini cakes with buttercream, how to use marshmallow treats to make a hamburger patty & make fondant accents. Each student will make 2 mini hamburgers in class.

Homemade Gummies - In this hands on class you will learn how to create your own gummy candies. We will be using gelatin, sugar and flavorings. You will be given several recipes to take home and recreate. Each student will receive one mold and best of all you get to take your goodies home. 3-6 Students per Class
